“Keep Pressing on”

#Philippians 3:13-15(KJV)

By Rev. Dr. Iniobong F. Udoh

We must have the attitude of pressing on if we want to get into the season of recovery. Paul realized he wasn’t there yet, he realized he had not arrived regardless of the things he had already done.

Philippian 3:13(NLT). God is saying we need to keep an eye on the goal, for us to keep an eye on the goal we need to keep on pressing on. There is an ongoing shaping and pruning work in our lives.

Every year God calls us higher, until we become truly like him, we keep on pressing to become like Him.

What Does Pressing On Mean?

1. Not allow anything stop you.

2. Refusing to be tied down by discouragement, etc.

3. Taking positive quality action steps, that is, making moves that will move you to the next level.

4. To keep making progress.

5. To exert pressure or apply force: there will come a time or season where force and pressure need to be applied.

Because there is work to be done, you need to keep pressing on. The devil knows the time is short, that is why he brought weariness and tiredness to God’s people. May God release the strength to press on this season, Amen.

Don’t fast forward your work when you have a lot of work to do. Make decisions that will take you to the next step.

If you must press on like Paul, you must forget the things that are behind. Philippian 3: 4-9(NLT).

There are dimensions of God you can’t access until you put some things behind. God demand we press on with no weights pulling us back.

1. Lord give us the grace to keep pressing on this year, Amen.
